Juanulloa mexicana

Originating from Central America, flourishing anywhere from sea-level to around 5,000 feet in elevation​​. Known by the common name Gold Finger, this ever-blooming, vining shrub bears leathery ovate leaves along its many arching branches, showcasing blooms at the tips of branches. Each bloom boasts a bright yellow-orange hexagonal calyx enclosed around a protruding burnt-orange, tubular flower. All parts of the plant are toxic when ingested. Photographed in Miami, Florida.
