Jasminum volubile

Native to Australia and nearby islands, this scrambling shrub or woody climber grows along rainforest margins and in dry rainforest. Its stems can extend about thirty-three feet. The oval to lance-shaped leaves are glossy dark green above and paler underneath. Clusters of white flowers have five to eight spreading lobes and are followed by shiny, fleshy black berries. In New South Wales, it flowers in winter. It climbs through surrounding vegetation and is cultivated as an ornamental. Photographed in Florida.
