Hoya carnosa
Native to China South-Central, China Southeast, Hainan, Japan, Laos, and Myanmar and nearby regions, this is a vine in the Apocynaceae family. It grows in humid subtropical forests. A vine appreciated for its ornamental value, often grown indoors in pots and hanging baskets. Its striking star-shaped flowers, arranged in parachute-shaped clusters, are fragrant and waxy. The Wax Plant has the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. Photographed in Pereira, Colombia.
