Gliricidia sepium

Originating from the seasonally dry Pacific Coast of Central America, this species has naturalized in various regions of northern South America, the Caribbean, and West Africa​. Its edible flowers, bear a bright pink to lilac hue tinged with white, located at the ends of leafless branches​. The small tree is used as a live fencing and crop feed. Photographed in  northern Colombia where it is common.
