Gliricidia sepium
Originating from the seasonally dry Pacific Coast of Central America, this species has naturalized in various regions of northern South America, the Caribbean, and West Africa. Its edible flowers, bear a bright pink to lilac hue tinged with white, located at the ends of leafless branches. The small tree is used as a live fencing and crop feed. Photographed in northern Colombia where it is common.
