Glandularia × hybrida
Developed in cultivation, these herbaceous garden hybrids are generally grown as annuals. Cultivars form upright plants, low mounds or trailing growth, usually six to eighteen inches tall. Small five-lobed flowers gather into rounded clusters in red, pink, purple, white and bicolored forms. Award-winning garden Glandularia selections listed by the Royal Horticultural Society include ‘Claret’, the Quartz Series, ‘Silver Ann’ and ‘Sissinghurst’. Photographed in Ibagué, Colombia.
