Native to Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, it is an herbaceous plant in the Crassulaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 8,850 to 13,450 feet. It grows on non-woody stems and produces flowers among or above the foliage. Photographed in Colombia.
