Echeveria lilacina (Ghost Echeveria)

Native to Nuevo León in northeastern Mexico, this slow-growing evergreen succulent inhabits dry shrubland and desert vegetation. Its thick leaves form a low rosette with a distinctive silvery-grey surface. Coral-coloured flowers appear on reddish stalks above the foliage. It tolerates drought. New plants can be raised from leaf or stem cuttings. Photographed in Colombia.
