Delphinium ajacis

Native to Afghanistan, Albania, Bulgaria, Corse, East Aegean Is., and France and nearby regions, this is an herbaceous plant in the Ranunculaceae family. Primarily originating from the Mediterranean region. This plant has successfully naturalized in various parts of North America. It has tall spires adorned with blue flowers and is a garden ornamental with numerous cultivars. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
