Crinum powellii
Crinum powellii is a bulbous perennial valued for its large, striking flowers and its resilience in various garden settings. There are many hybrid species well-suited for cultivation in temperate climates. It typically grows to a height of 3 to 4 feet, forming clusters of showy blooms atop tall stalks. Blooming in late summer to early fall, Powell’s crinum produces fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of pink or white, often arranged in clusters of five or more per stem. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
