Native to Central and South America but has become naturalized in various parts of North America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. This annual plant exhibits a bushy, upright habit, typically reaching heights of 1 to 3 feet. The plant is particularly known for its vibrant, showy flowers that predominantly display shades of yellow, orange, and red. Photographed in Barranquilla, Colombia.
