coreopsis basalis
Referred to as Goldenwave, it is a species native to Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. This annual herb prefers open, sunny habitats, thriving in prairies, roadsides, and other well-drained soils, and displays bright, golden-yellow flowers, each adorned with a darker central disk in spring and early summer.
