Cordyline fruticosa has its origins rooted in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, This evergreen perennial is noted for its striking foliage, which varies widely in color from green and red to purple and pink, depending on the cultivar. The plant typically reaches heights of 3 to 10 feet. The leaves are also harvested for the production of hula skirts, lei, and other Hawaiian cultural items. Photographed in Colombia, Eudador and Florida.
