Corchorus orinocensis
Corchorus orinocensis is native to Latin America, where it grows in lowland areas and along disturbed sites. It is a perennial herb or subshrub that can reach several feet in height. Each flower has five narrow petals and a dense cluster of long, protruding stamens that create a starburst appearance. Photographed in Atlantico, Colombia.
