Combretum indicum (Rangoon Creeper)
Originating from South Asia and Southeast Asia, the Rangoon Creeper extended its roots to become an ornamental in various parts of the tropical world. The vine is a woody, evergreen, and vigorous climber, It has a dynamic floral display. Initially blooming as white flowers, changing to pink and then to a deep red as they mature. It is also fragrant, releasing a sweet scent in the evenings. It is difficult to propagate by cuttings it took me about forty cuttings to get four plants. Grows very fast, loves the heat, and is drought tolerant. Photographed in Colombia and Florida.
