The Chocó biogeographic region, is a remarkable area known and one of the most biodiverse areas in the world. It stretches from Panama through Colombia and into Ecuador. The heavy precipitation supports dense rainforests are filled with a variety of trees, orchids, and bromelias. In Colombia the Chocó region is dangerous. In Ecuador it is a very unique and livable region with immense natural beauty.
