Chamaecrista glandulosa
Chamaecrista glandulosa, commonly known as wild sensitive plant, is native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. This species is a perennial herbaceous legume that can grow into a subshrub under favorable conditions, reaching heights of two to four feet, with its distinctive pinnate leaves responding to touch by folding, a trait characteristic of sensitive plants. The flowers of this species are notable for their bright yellow petals, often with a reddish or purple center marking. Photographed in Peru.
