This species is a shrub native to the Andes of Peru, native to the Urubamba Valley, from which it takes its name. This species is notable for its pendulous, tubular pink flowers that can reach nearly 2 inches in length. The flowers are arranged in clusters, with long exserted styles and stigma, giving them a striking and elongated appearance. Photographed in Peru.
