Cenchrus setaceus (Crimson Fountaingrass)

Originating from northern and eastern Africa and south-western Asia a rapidly ornamental grass perennial with clump-forming habit. This species can reach a height of up to 4 feet, showcasing narrow leaves that may appear in green or burgundy shades, along with feathery pinkish flower plumes. This species is recognized for its invasiveness. Its fire-adapted nature allows it to reestablish rapidly post-burning. Photographed in Medellin, Colombia.
