Originating from Brazil and Uruguay, it is a popular ornamental for its profuse blooming nature which showcases an array of vibrant colors. Million Bells has many cultivars and hybrids.  The flowers of this plant have been recognized for their potential to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression, enhance mental alertness, and improve memory and concentration​.
