Native to the tropical regions of the Americas, Arthrostemma ciliatum can be found distributed throughout Central and South America, from Mexico down to Brazil. This plant prefers shaded or partially shaded areas, often thriving in the understory of forests and in disturbed areas alongside roads and trails. A climbing shrub recognized for its vibrant pink color. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Central).
