Albizia lebbeck (Siris Tree)

Originating from the Indian subcontinent and widely distributed across various tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. Flowers in shades of cream or pale yellow, afterward, it produces flattened, brown seed pods containing seeds that serve as a valuable food source for wildlife. Its wood is prized for its durability and is used for carpentry, furniture, and as fuelwood. The tree's bark, leaves, and seeds have been utilized in traditional medicine for their purported medicinal properties. Photographed in Colombia where it has naturalized and common below 3,300 feet.
