Ageratina tinifolia

Native to Colombia, Ecuador and the Táchira region of Venezuela, this woody plant grows as a subshrub, shrub or small tree. Numerous small white flowers form terminal clusters, with fine projecting styles giving the flowerheads a tufted appearance. In Colombia, it occurs in Andean habitats from about 4,400 to 12,800 feet. Its recorded environments include forest, woodland, shrubland and native grassland, extending into high mountain vegetation. Photographed in Colombia.
