Aechmea amicorum

Native to southeastern Bahia and EspĆrito Santo in Brazil, this bromeliad grows as an epiphyte in wet tropical forest. Its branched inflorescence spreads outward from the leafy rosette, with pink bracts along slender branches. The species is endemic to the Brazilian Atlantic Forest and is listed as Endangered in Brazil, making its restricted natural populations a conservation concern. Photographed in Florida.
