Aechmea andersonii
Native to the tropical Atlantic forests of southeastern Brazil, this bromeliad species grows as an epiphyte or occasionally as a terrestrial plant in humid, shaded environments. Its distinctive inflorescence features a thick pink stalk densely packed with waxy, tubular buds tipped in vibrant blue to purple hues. Photographed in Florida.
