Onoseris hyssopifolia

Native to Ecuador, this Andean flowering plant belongs to the daisy family. Pale lavender rays form a star-like arrangement around a yellow-orange centre. The flower head combines numerous small florets, rather than being a single flower with ordinary petals. Photographed in Peru.
