Geranium Rozanne has a violet-blue five-petaled flower with dark veins and a pale center above lobed green leaves

Geranium ‘Rozanne’

A cultivated hybrid of the Himalayan species Geranium himalayense and Geranium wallichianum ‘Buxton’s Variety’, this herbaceous perennial arose as a seedling in an English garden. Lobed, divided leaves form a spreading mound. Large flowers have five violet-blue petals, darker purple veins and pale centers. Its long flowering season extends from early summer into autumn in many temperate gardens. The selection was introduced commercially by Blooms of Bressingham. It won the public vote for Chelsea Plant of the Centenary and can be propagated by division or basal cuttings. Photographed in Florida.
