Viburnum tinus ‘Spring Bouquet’
A compact garden selection of a Mediterranean species, this evergreen shrub belongs to the viburnum family and usually grows about 3 to 5 feet tall. Glossy, dark green leaves cover its dense, rounded branches. Pink buds open into clusters of lightly fragrant white flowers. In California, flowering is heaviest in late winter and early spring, with occasional blooms during the rest of the year. Its blue-black fruits feed birds. The fruits are ornamental and should not be eaten. Photographed in Florida.
