Stachys agraria

A perennial herb in the mint family native to northwestern South America, Stachys agraria grows in open Andean vegetation and disturbed sites. Upright square stems carry opposite toothed green leaves and spaced whorls of small two-lipped flowers. The pointed calyces and stems are covered with fine hairs. Photographed in Colombia.
