Siphocampylus elfriedii
A woody Andean plant in the bellflower family, this species carries broad softly textured leaves and tubular flowers near the stem tips. The corolla grades from pink along the tube to pale green near the opening, where narrow lobes curve apart. A projecting style extends beyond the flower, and a persistent calyx encloses its base. Research-grade observations document the species in Peru. Photographed in Colombia.
