Siphocampylus declinatus

An Andean shrub in the bellflower family, this species bears elongated tubular flowers from the leaf axils. The corolla is predominantly red, becoming cream near the opening, and divides into narrow spreading lobes. A long style projects beyond the corolla while the persistent green calyx surrounds its base. Research-grade observations document the species in Colombia. Photographed in Colombia.
