Plumeria alba cluster of white five petaled flowers with yellow centers among long narrow leaves

Plumeria alba

Plumeria alba is a deciduous tree native to Puerto Rico and the Lesser Antilles. Long, narrow leaves cluster near the tips of thick branches. Fragrant white flowers have five overlapping petals and small yellow centers, and they are produced in terminal clusters during warm weather. Broken stems and leaves release milky latex, and the paired fruits are long narrow follicles containing winged seeds. Photographed in Florida.
