Plumeria stenopetala cluster of fragrant white flowers with long narrow twisting petals

Plumeria × stenopetala

Plumeria × stenopetala is a cultivated hybrid between Plumeria obtusa and Plumeria subsessilis. The plant forms a branching tropical tree or large shrub with glossy foliage. Its fragrant white flowers have unusually long, narrow petals that twist away from small yellow centers, giving each blossom a star-shaped appearance. The narrow twisted petals distinguish this cross from the broader, overlapping flowers typical of either parent species. Photographed in Florida.
