Vanda Blue Tahourdin × Vanda tessellata
Vanda Blue Tahourdin × Vanda tessellata is a horticultural orchid hybrid produced by crossing Vanda Blue Tahourdin with Vanda tessellata. Its flowers combine broad, dark brown-purple sepals and petals with pale bluish centers and strongly colored violet lips. The tessellata parent is native to the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia and has been used extensively in Vanda breeding for patterned flowers and warm-growing hybrids. Individual seedlings from the same cross can vary in color and markings. Photographed in Colombia.
