Coursetia ferruginea
Coursetia ferruginea is native to Venezuela and Colombia, where it grows in dry forests and scrubland. It is a small tree adapted to seasonal climates, thriving in areas with distinct wet and dry periods. The flowers of Coursetia ferruginea are papilionaceous in form, typical of legumes, with a broad banner petal marked by a yellow streak, lateral wings, and a keel that is sometimes tinged with purple.
