Blakea involvens

Blakea involvens is native to Ecuador and Colombia. It produces large flowers with six broad white petals, a central column surrounded by a spiral arrangement of purple and yellow stamens, and a pale pink throat. The buds are rounded and enclosed in green bracts covered in fine hairs. Photographed in Chocó, Ecuador.
