Bauhinia acuminata
Native to Southeast Asia, Bauhinia acuminata is an ornamental shrub in the Fabaceae family, widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions for its fragrant blooms. It typically reaches heights of 6 to 10 feet, with distinctive bilobed leaves resembling a camel’s hoof. The flowers are pure white, measuring about 2 to 3 inches across, with five broad petals and prominent yellow-tipped stamens, blooming profusely during warm seasons. Photographed in Florida.
