The Black-billed Thrush is predominantly found in the western Amazonia and the Guianan Shield. The habitats it occupies are diverse, including clearings, savannas with gallery woodland, cerrado, humid forest borders, and coffee plantations, as well as various other habitats influenced by human activity. The Black-billed Thrush primarily feeds on terrestrial invertebrates, such as beetles, flies, worms, crickets, and caterpillars, but it also consumes berries and fruits. This bird typically inhabits the midstory of vegetation and exhibits solitary behavior. Reproductive habits include laying two eggs in a cup-shaped nest.
