Pleroma heteromallum (Silverleafed Princess Flower)

A shrub native to French Guiana, Bolivia, and Brazil. It is primarily cultivated as an ornamental for its attractive foliage and striking purple flowers, capable of enduring a light frost. This ornamental shrub is popular in the coffee region of Colombia. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Central).
