Gardenia taitensis
A fragrant shrub native to the South Pacific. The plant holds cultural significance as it is the national flower of both the Cook Islands and French Polynesia, including the Polynesian island country of Tahiti, where its aromatic blossoms are utilized to concoct a perfumed coconut oil used for cosmetic purposes.
