The Corraleja is a traditional form of bullfighting in Colombia, especially prevalent in the northern rural coastal regions. The Corraleja is a festive and chaotic spectacle that blends elements of a bullfight with a carnival-like atmosphere. The Corraleja typically takes place in temporary wooden arenas that do not meet safety concerns constructed specifically for the event. Anyone from the audience can enter the arena to confront the bull. It is a way for mostly young men to demonstrate their courage and agility or as I would say their stupidity as there will always be injuries. Afterwards these men will walk the stands for a donation.
