Neguanje beach as the sun breaks out on a cloudy day
Playa Neguanje, Colombia

Playa Neguanje is one of the largest and most accessible beaches within Tayrona National Natural Park, located on Colombia’s Caribbean coast in the Magdalena Department. It is one of the few beaches in the park that can be reached by car from the main El Zaino entrance. An entrance fee to Tayrona Park is required, which varies depending on the season and whether the visitor is Colombian or foreign. The water is usually calm and swimmable, though not as crystal clear as beaches farther east like Playa Cristal. From Neguanje, visitors can also hire small boats to nearby Playa Cristal (also called Playa del Muerto), which is accessible only by sea. That short boat ride takes about 10 minutes, and tickets are typically sold at the shoreline. Many tour packages from Santa Marta or Taganga offer combined trips to both Neguanje and Playa Cristal.
