Zephyranthes candida white six-tepaled flowers rising above dense narrow grassy leaves

Zephyranthes candida

Native to southern South America, Zephyranthes candida is a bulbous perennial herb of moist grasslands and seasonally wet open ground. Narrow dark green leaves form dense grassy clumps. Solitary white funnel-shaped flowers rise on slender leafless stalks, opening into six pointed tepals around a pale yellow-green throat. Photographed in Colombia.
