Xerochrysum bracteatum

Native to Australia, Xerochrysum bracteatum is an annual or short-lived perennial herb of open woodland, grassland, and disturbed ground. Upright branching stems carry narrow leaves and solitary flower heads. Bright papery bracts surround a dense central disk of tiny tubular florets and retain their color after drying.
