Vitex trifolia

Native from tropical and subtropical Asia to the western Pacific, Vitex trifolia is an evergreen shrub or small tree often found near coasts and other open habitats. Aromatic leaves usually have three narrow leaflets with pale undersides. Upright branching clusters carry many small violet flowers above rounded green buds. Photographed in Colombia.
