Vigna vexillata

Native to Andaman Is., Angola, Assam, Bangladesh, Belize, and Benin and nearby regions, it is a vine in the Fabaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 66 to 6,550 feet. Its climbing or trailing stems carry foliage and purple flowers, sometimes grouped in conspicuous inflorescences. Photographed in Colombia.
