Veronica persica small blue flowers with dark veins among rounded toothed leaves

Veronica persica

Native to western Asia and the Caucasus, Veronica persica is a low annual herb now widespread in cultivated and disturbed ground. Creeping branched stems carry rounded toothed leaves. Small sky-blue flowers arise singly on slender stalks, with darker blue veins, a pale center, and one lobe noticeably smaller than the others. Photographed in Colombia.
