Verbesina crassiramea

Native to Colombia, Verbesina crassiramea is a robust branching shrub or small tree associated with Andean vegetation. Its leafy crown produces large spreading clusters of many small yellow flower heads. The flowers rise above broad green leaves and create a conspicuous golden display across the outer branches when the plant is in bloom. Photographed in Colombia.
