Verbesina columbiana

Native to Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela, it is a shrub in the Asteraceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 2,500 to 3,600 feet. It develops branching woody stems and dense foliage, with flowers arranged singly or in inflorescences. Photographed in Colombia.
