Verbesina boliviana

Native to Bolivia and neighboring parts of the central Andes, Verbesina boliviana is a branching shrub of montane forest edges and disturbed slopes. Broad clusters carry numerous small flower heads, each surrounded by clean white ray florets around a pale central disk. The opposite leaves are broad, prominently veined, and borne along upright stems. Photographed in Florida.
