Vanda hindsii

Native to northern and eastern Australia and New Guinea, Vanda hindsii is a large epiphytic orchid of wet tropical forest. Long upright stems carry leathery strap-shaped leaves and thick aerial roots. The waxy flowers have broad red-brown segments edged in yellow-green and a smaller contrasting purple and white lip.
